CLINTON, Miss. -- A clinton woman may spend the rest of her life prison for identify theft. Emily Kristen McLellan-Bilbo, 24, was arrested by investigators with the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the Attorney General's Office Monday.
Bilbo was indicted by a Hinds County Grand Jury on multiple counts of identity theft, felonious use of a Social Security number, and uttering counterfeit instruments. She was also indicted as a habitual offender.
Investigators say Bilbo obtained credit card information from customers at the business she worked for as a receptionist and used that information to make purchases on the internet. Thirteen victims are involved in the case and Bilbo is believe to have obtained more tan $25,000 in goods, cash, and services. If convicted she faces 150 years in prison and fines exceeding $140,000.
