CANTON, Miss.-- The weather couldn't be any better for flea market patrons as they stroll around the Canton square and surrounding areas Thursday.

Booths of every variety have converged on the square and surrounding areas with every kind of knick-knack and paddy-wack that one could ever want to buy.

Just a few of the things I witnessed at the booths:

Tool boxes
Wooden crosses with barbed wire
Antiques of every variety
Hand-painted monograms
Bird house on hay pick
Drift wood bird house
Pink flamingo made out of iron
Halloween costumes and decorations of every kind

And when asking one young male patron about why he comes to the flea market he said, "It's tradition. We come here every year. It's just a tradition."

And his friend chimed in with, "Oh yeah, and the funnel cakes too."
