COLUMBUS, Miss.--A child doesn't have much of a chance against an SUV and a collision in Columbus has left one child there in the hospital. News Mississippi started seeing Tweets around 6 Thursday evening about the wreck. Further investigation showed a boy was riding his bicycle when he was hit just before 6 p.m.

Police had not charged anyone, but say they are still looking into exactly what happened.

The child, age and identity not yet released, was taken to Baptists Memorial, Golden Triangle. His condition wasn't released.
