JACKSON, Miss.--The family of Stacey Washington is mourning today after he succumbed to his injuries Wednesday. Washington was working on the fifth floor of a new Baptist Hospital facility going up in the capital city when he fell last Friday at about 11 a.m.
It was still unclear what caused his fall. The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration is now investigating the work site.
Washington was rushed to the University Hospital, just down the street from Baptist, because it is a trauma center. His injuries included multiple broken bones and possible internal injuries.
