CORINTH, Miss. -- A lawsuit has been filed against the Corinth restaurant were there was a salmonella outbreak last fall.
More than 50 people are listed as plaintiffs in the suit. They all say they got sick after eating contaminated food, or coming into contact with someone else who had eating the tainted food at Don Julio’s late last year.
The complaint names the restaurant, its owners and 10 unknown workers as defendants. Don Julio’s did voluntarily shut down after that out break. The state health department started an investigation; and Don Julio’s reopened a couple of weeks after the agency determined it had corrected its unsafe food handling practices.
The plaintiffs all asking for a jury trial and damage awards.
