IUKA, Miss.--Sixty-seven-year-old Harris Strickland of Corinth and his 62-year-old wife Wanda are dead after their car was struck by a truck in Tishamingo County shortly before noon Saturday. Their grandson was in the backseat and was injured. He was airlifted to the hospital.
Coroner Mack Wilemon told media that the two were turning off of Hwy. 25 onto a county road when their 2000 Buick was hit in the passenger side by a truck driven by a man who was not immediately ID's by authorities. Wilemon says it was apparent the man did not stop at the four-way. He was also injured and was treated at the hospital in Iuka.
