JACKSON, Miss.--Snow flurries that had been predicted earlier in the week are no longer part of the weekend forecast for Mississippi. But, it will be cold Friday night. The north part of the state will go several degrees below the freezing mark, with 28 for the low. There will be some clouds, so that may prevent a hard frost.
In the central and southern counties, temps will reach the mid 30s Friday night.
State-wide, it's mostly sunny all day, with temps from 58 north to 65 south. Saturday you'll get a whole lot cooler, with 40s for highs across the state.
Rain and thunder are both back beginning Sunday night. You can look for a wet Monday. Rain should begin to taper off Monday night and finally leaves the state for a sunny middle of the week.
