Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey told News Mississippi that Wilder is no longer an emplyee of the school district, but was working there when the incidents with a female student happened. Bailey did not say how old the girl was.
Thursday deputies raided Wilder's home, taking his laptop and cell phone and other items that might be used as evidence. That's also when they arrested Wilder.
No bond had been set Friday. Bailey said there was no reason to believe that there were other misdeeds involving any more students.
