JACKSON, Miss.-- The Energy and Economic Summit is being held in Jackson on Thursday and Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant will be heading it up.
When speaking on leading the summit Governor Bryant said, "It is quite an opportunity for any governor to lead an organization of this level that's made up of sixteen governors."
Mississippi has become nationally recognized for being an energy leader as the country heads into the future unknowns surrounding the industry.
Governor Bryant stated, "We're a dynamic energy state. The Frazier Institute in 2011 said we were the best state in the nation to invest in the oil and gas industry."
Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani will also be in attendance Thursday to speak to the summit.
