Kidnapped Girl Likely Not in Mississippi

by Chris Davis
JACKSON, Miss.--Ailene Lander is likely not in Mississippi. That’s according to a news release from the FBI Jackson field office. The agency tells News Mississippi that the 15-year-old who was taken from state custody in Alabama Monday by her 36-year-old step-father Charles Partin is likely in western Louisiana or east Texas.

They have changed vehicles and the border patrol is also on the case.
Authorities belive they may now be in a blue/green Toyota minivan. Their 1994 Mercury SUV was found empty at a location the FBI is keeping secret.

Lander is believed to be pregnant and was in the custody of the state when she was taken in Dothan, Ala. Monday. A state employee was taking her to a doctors appointment when she was snagged by her step-father.

Lander was in state custody while an investigation was underway. The nature of that investigation was not disclosed.

Ailene is a white female, last seen wearing a white see-through shirt and pink gym shorts. The two may be traveling with the entire family that includes the mom and five brothers and sisters. If you have info, you are asked to call 1-800-225-5324 (1-800-CALLFBI).

Updates are available on the Dothan Police Department Facebook page.
