Local Authorities Protect You From Online Predators

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. -- You might use social media for keeping up with friends, but deputies say these men used it to lure minors for sex. Lauderdale County Sheriff Billy Sollie says one of his deputies made a fake profile online posing as a 15-year-old.

“The conversation lead to the adult male requesting inappropriate contact,” said Sollie

Johnny Warren, 57, an employee at the Meridian Community College bookstore was arrested over the weekend. Police nabbed two others who made contact: Kevin Winsted, 50, of Union, and Clifton Kelly, 33, a lecturer at University of West Alabama.

All three posted a $10,000 dollar bond. Computer luring of a minor is a felony offense and each could face three years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.

According to the Sheriff people are still contacting the deputies fake account.
