JACKSON, Miss. – The capital city saw a pot bust of epic proportions. Othor Cain, Spokesperson for the Hinds County Sheriff’s Department says they scored 110 lbs of Marijuana in the bust; each pound was worth about $1,200. He says they received at tip from an agency out of Texas about the operation. They told the Department that trucks hauling the green stuff were coming through. He says they also had help from the Pearl Police Department and Richland Police Department.
“These trucks were transported across state lines, south of the border,” said Cain.
They tracked the trucks to T Moris Enterprise, a business in Jackson.
“It’s like a construction cite, a trucking company, and barbershop all in one. It looked like a normal business operations, dump trucks on the site, people getting haircuts.”
The pot was packaged in big crates, to look like they were delivering furniture. They arrested two people on scene, Timothy Moris, and Donald Ray Quinn. Cain says they have been involved in drugs before.
