JACKSON, Miss. -- Rain will move across much of Mississippi this Christmas morning. But a cold front moves in later today, making severe weather possible this afternoon and on into this evening.
“The risk is going to be damaging wind in excess of 70 MPH, quarter size hail, along with some risk of a few strong tornadoes across the area,” said Mark McAllister, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service Jackson office.
“The time line for this is going to be for this afternoon, after lunch time into the mid-evening hours. I say between 12 and 9 p.m.” he added.
