CANTON, Miss.--Taxes are going up in one of the state’s fastest-growing counties. Madison Co. supervisors voted Monday to cover a $1.5 million shortfall by raising property taxes an extra $20 per $100,000 house.

According to the supes, the money is needed for trash collection, fire and other services.
