JACKSON, Miss -- An armed robbery takes a teen's ability to comfortably sit down. Officer Colendula Green says the Jackson Police Department received a call around 7 p.m. Sunday, shortly after a teen was shot in the buttocks.
Officer green tells us the boy was walking home with friends when he was approached by two black males wearing hoodies.
"One of the subjects pulled out a handgun and attempted to rob the 16 year old's backpack. That is when an altercation occurred resulting in the 16 year old being shot in the buttocks." Says Officer Green.
Officer Green tells us Jackson Police do not have any suspects at this time and as of now the teen is still at a local hospital recovering.
