Tornado From Sunday Confirmed in Wayne County

WAYNE COUNTY, Miss.--An EF1 tornado in Wayne County Sunday was confirmed by the Mobile office of the National Weather Service Thursday. Survey teams say maximum winds were at 110 mph.

The Weather Service said on their website that the twister was spawned by an isolated severe storm and first appeared around 6:15 Sunday afternoon near Buckatunna. It traveled 3.3 miles and was responsible for tree damage, damaging a modular home and a mobile home and nearly destroying a chicken house.
The path was 200 yards wide. No injuries were reported with the storm.
