JACKSON, Miss.--The hot temperatures will be moving out of the state in the near future.
Mississippians will indeed get to enjoy warm temperatures Friday though.
Meteorologist Chad Entremont said, "The unseasonably warm conditions we've seen will continue and persist through saturday and sunday."
That means low to mid-70's for almost the entire state from now until Sunday night and Monday morning.
But Entremont tells us a cold front is on the way and should arrive around Monday in the a.m. hours.
The only problem with that is he's talking about the high temperatures.
The low temperatures for Monday and Tuesday night could reach down into the upper to mid-20's for northern regions of the state.
With flu reports on the high note already in Mississippi it will be something to watch as temperatues drop back down to seasonal averages in the area.
