SUMRALL, Miss.-- It's four years in the state pen for 62-year-old Linda Bush of Seminary. She was sentenced Wednesday for fondling the breasts of a woman in the care of a facility for mentally or developmentally disabled adults. There was no word on the age of the victim.

A news release from Attorney Gen. Jim Hood says the crime happened in July 2010. That's when the victim told staff at the care home about what had happened. They contacted authorities.

In court Bush entered an open plea, which is essentially throwing herself on the mercy of the court. The sentence was 10 years, with six suspended and a $1,000 fine. The sentence also included five years of supervised probation after release from custody and further orders she register as a sex offender upon her release. 

Hood tells us the victim's family was in court and were satisfied with the sentence.

“Because this facility reported this to our office in a timely manner, we were able to successfully prosecute this individual," said  Hood. "We appreciate the facility’s report and their cooperation throughout the investigation and prosecution."
