Elementary school kids already coding in Mississippi

State Superintendent of Education for Mississippi, Dr. Carey Wright and Pete Smith joined the Gallo Radio Show on SuperTalk Mississippi Wednesday morning to discuss a variety of education issues. Dr. Wright gave updated information on the Task Force meeting happening this week to study “testing requirements” across the state, who’s doing them, who’s being paid and who’s requiring the test. She shared some news about elementary school students who are already learning coding!

Also discussed were the new positive numbers from the 3rd Grade Reading Gate with a heads-up on more stringent requirements kicking in with the start of the new school year this Fall.
