Gallo Notes | 1.3.2014

In simple terms that even Liberals can understand this country’s unique existence of freedom and liberty is held together with family and faith.

The cancers that shall be the end of this country (as others in history) will be the death of its people’s morality, the will for independence from government and individual responsibility. All of those are the threads woven into the fabric of faith.

The Founding Fathers gave us both guidance and warning in their many writing. From those comes our quote for Friday-

“Statesmen, my dear Sir, may plan and speculate for liberty,

but it is religion and morality alone, which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand.

The only foundation of a free Constitution is pure virtue,

and if this cannot be inspired into our People in a greater Measure than they have it now, they may change their rulers and the forms of government, but they will not obtain a lasting liberty.”- John Adams

(1735-1826) Founding Father, 2nd US President June 21, 1776

7:30 a.m.-The 2014 Legislative Session from the Democrats’ perspective. The Session gavels in next Tuesday at noon.

-Brandon Jones -Executive Director/ Mississippi Democratic Trust & Attorney/Diaz Law Firm

-Matt Eichelberger- Attorney and blogger for CottonMouth

-Note-Jud A Chairman Mark Baker joined me this morning. When asked to respond to a possible date for his decision of running for AG, Baker would only say that he is still considering the race, but would not commit to definite date.

-Mighty John “The Record Guy” joined us this morning for an update of this month’s hottest treasure finds on old record.

If you have a copy of Bob Dylan’s 1963 album The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan, take a look at the tracks and see if yours has the song “Talkin’ John Birch Society Blues.” If so, then that record could be worth up to $20,000.
