Movie Reviews for August 14th, 2014

Delta Telephone Company

There are two new releases this weekend to check out, and they are as different as two movies can be.  First up:

ExpendablesThe Expendables 3  – Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) and his team of mercenaries, known as “The Expendables”, are back for the 3rd installment of this series.  When the group comes into conflict with their co-founder, played by Mel Gibson, the team must join forces with their new, younger tech-savvy recruits in order to survive.  Unlike the previous 2 films, this movie is rated PG-13 – the prequels were both “R”.  If you like the first 2 and are a fan of ’80s action movies, you’ll like this one.  The movie also stars Wesley Snipes, Harrison Ford, Dolph Lundgren, Kellen Lutz, Kelsey Grammer and so many more!

The GiverNext up, The Giver takes place in a perfect world where there is no suffering, differences or choices for that matter.   A boy is chosen to learn from an elderly man about the true pain and pleasure of the “real” world, and sees that his forefathers were forced to give up humanity in exchange for a peaceful world.  Based on the popular novel, this movie is PG-13 and co-stars Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep and Taylor Swift.

Tune in to the Paul Gallo show every Friday morning, and I’ll keep YOU in the movie loop!
