MERIDIAN, Miss.--An AK-47 now confirmed as the weapon of choice in one of two Meridian shootings. Both shootings happened Tuesday. Jaddarrian Jimmerson is dead after being shot in the head. Another person was shot in the leg in a separate incident and is recovering.

Police Chief James Reed told News Mississippi shortly after the shootings that shell casings pointed to a high-powered rifle.

Three suspects being sought in the death of Jimmerson. No connection established to the other shooting.
