RAYMOND, Miss. -- Trell Kimmons, Coldwater, Miss. native turned Olympic athlete takes a stop at Hinds Community College in Raymond Tuesday to pay a visit to his old campus. He spoke to students about his trials before making it to the Olympics and how working hard and being focused paid off.
Kindrell says "I never ask myself 'why me?' from small town Mississippi. because I trained hard since highschool and through college. If it happens it happens, if not at least I tried my best. I just took it step by step."
Kimmons took home the silver medal in the mens 4x100 meter relay at this summer's London Olympics and set an American record time of 37.04 seconds.
