Repeat Offender Nabbed in Mississippi Bank Robberies
by Chris Davis
JACKSON, Miss.--Police in the capital city say they have their man. Jackson cops say repeat offender, 51-year-old Dave Thomas, was nabbed by detectives and the FBI over the weekend. He’s being charged with holding up the Trustmark Bank on Old Canton Rd. on Sept. 18 and the robbery of a Bancorp South on Aug. 9.
A news release from JPD says Thomas was convicted of bank robbery in 2009 and is suspected of other bank robberies.
Neither the FBI nor JPD would release a photo of Thomas because the investigation is still going on and he is expected to have to appear in line-ups for witnesses to the robberies to try and ID a perp.
