JACKSON, Miss. -- It was a pack house Wednesday at the Capital City's Medical Mall for the second annual Jobs for Jacksonians job fair. A few hundred people were estimated to show up but thousands attended. Over 100 employers were there and they had jobs for the taking. Representatives from local colleges and universities were also at the job fair as well as community groups that were avilible to help individuals with interviewing skills and resume writing.
"Jobs for Jacksonians partnered with a number of organizations including the Governor’s Jobs Network to put on the event." Says Louis Armstrong, Deputy Director of Human and Culture Services for city of Jackson. "Our goal is to have 500 people employed by the end of the day."
