One move she plans is a move to Nashville, long a mecca for musicians of all levels.
"Nashville's gone through a lot of changes, so it's really harder. So, we're staying positive. We're working really hard and hopefully I'll be coming out with an album, soon," she said.
Laine says she'll make the move once the holidays are over and once she's done with some local appearances. She tells us she has been involved in the writing process.
"Hopefully most of the songs on my album will be co-written or be written by me. I have about 50 songs in my book. But, not many are radio ready. We've got some ready to pitch to labels," she said.
Laine said one of the biggest obstacles in making a record, is finding a label to call home. She said she is working with her management company to get that done.
