The Mississippi Federation of College Republicans, which is made up of students from various state campuses, is getting ready for a phone drive aimed at getting the vote out to the younger generation.
MFCR Spokeswoman Courtney Harris says, "With our phone bank we've decided to host something state wide on a couple of campuses we have some chapters at."
The phone initiative will be held on October 22nd according to MFCR officials.
Harris added the group is, "Making phone calls and getting the voice out for not only MS but for the rest of the people, mainly just getting the young people to vote."
The federation received a $1,000 grant from the National College Republicans convention that they'll use to take volunteers out to dinner with after the phone initiative is finished.
