JACKSON, Miss.-- Cooler temperatures have greeted most Mississippians throughout the last several days, especially in the early and overnight hours.
That will start to change over the next 24 hours.
Meteorologist Lynn Burse says, "By Thursday and Friday highs across the area should be in the mid to upper-80's again."
Mississippians know this time of the year temperaturs fluctuate at a moments notice, getting many people sick as the pressure moves up and down.
This week won't be any different.
Burse added, "Saturday evening the temperatures should drop back down to the 60's in the northern part of the state."
With the highs only being in the upper-60's for many people, she tells News Mississippi that means lows in the 40's for some people near the Tennessee line.
Make sure to have the umbrella in the car this weekend as chances for rain increase slightly as we head into Saturday.
