LAUREL, Miss. -- The Last Ounce of Courage is a movie written by Laurel natives Richard and Gina Headrick.
“The movie really started out of a movement to ban saying ‘Marry Christmas,’” said Strategic Planning Marketing Director Brian Jones.
The film centers around a once patriotic father who takes a step back after losing his son in Iraq. He is recharged by his grandson; and then decides to take a stand.
“It really honors our American military first and foremost. And also, it is a great push for Christian Americans to say we have had enough,” said Jones.
The film is playing at theaters in several Mississippi cities right now, including Columbia, Hattiesburg, Laurel, Pearl and Starkville.
