JACKSON, Miss. -- Mississippi has already broken its record for most recorded West Nile infections this year, but those numbers continue to increase. The Mississippi Department of Health reports 13 new cases in 12 different counties bringing the state's total to 213 cases and five deaths. Those counties include: DeSoto, Forrest, Hancock, Hinds, Holmes, Lauderdale, Pike, Panola, Rankin, Scott, Walthall, and Watson. Hinds County had two new cases.
