Special Ballots for Marshall and DeSoto Counties Approved

JACKSON, Miss. -- The State Board of Elections Commissioners met Tuesday to approve ballots for special Senate and House races in DeSoto and Marshal Counties. All those who qualified have been approved and they will run using old district lines.

Kevin Blackwood, Pat Nelson, David Parker, and Michael Mike Smith. can now all seek the seat for state Senate District 19 which was vacated by Sen. Merle Flowers.

Also, Jeremy Bryan, Bill Kinkade, and Van Wicker can now all seek the seat for state House District 52 a seat recently vacated by Rep. Tommy woods. 

These elections will take place during the November 6th presidential elections.
