HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss.--A pit bull attack has left a nine-year-old girl in serious condition. Jimmy Warren, a spokesman for the Marshall County Sheriff’s Dept., tells News Mississippi it happened at a home in the county shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The girl was airlifted to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis.

Warren said the Marshall County Animal Control officer has the dog in quarantine.
