JACKSON, Miss. -- A lot of you are now questing the safety of your children at the state fair, after one worker there was arrested Wednesday for having child pornography on his cell phone.
We caught up with the manager of North American Midway Entertainment who says they do have security measures in place. “Everybody that gets an ID that works on our Midway gets a background check,” said Patrick Hadley. And he said Christopher Gadvilus was no exception. “Obviously nothing came back on him. If something did come back on him, immediately, we would have gotten rid of him.”
Captain Joseph Daughtry with the Hinds County Sheriff Department is also hoping to ease some of your concerns. “We want the parents to know that the Fair Commission, the Hinds County Sheriff’s Department and the (Attorney General’s) office worked real swiftly with this,” he said.
Gadvilus remains behind bars today. He is from Illinois. Daughtry says they are not sure if the images on his phone were produced here in Mississippi, but they are still investigating
