JACKSON, Miss.--Plenty of fires in Mississippi this weekend. First in Bay. St. Louis, there were plenty of steaks well done as a fire ripped through C.J.’s Meat Market on Hwy. 90. It happened about 2 this morning. There were no injuries, but the cause still unknown.
Now to Ridgeland, just north of the capital city, where four units of an apartment complex were damaged by a Sunday evening fire. There were no injuries, but we’re told several families were displaced. There's no official cause yet, but unofficial word has it starting in a washer/dryer unit.
And in Sherman in northeast Mississippi, a spectacular blaze Sunday night destroyed an abandoned house. Again, no injuries and no cause listed yet. Nearby residents told WTVA there was no power to the house.
