YAZOO COUNTY, Miss.- A man was found dead in a Yazoo county ditch on Monday afternoon and now cops are investigating.
Mississippi Bureau of Investigation spokesman Warren Strain says, "The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation was called into to assist the sherriff's department in Yazoo county."
They found 49-year-old Renald Malone upon further investigating into who the man was exactly.
Strain addes, "Twenty-three year old Dewane Herman is being held in the Yazoo county jail without bond. He is charged with murder."
As of yesterday officials were still gathering evidence and Herman had not been charged but that changed over the last 24 hours.
"Murder is the only thing Mr. Herman is charged with right now," explains Strain.
Evidence has been submitted to the crime lab that was collected at the scene of the crime for further testing according to MBI officials.
