HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. -- Rust College professor Dr. Sylvester Oliver is out a job and now out of jail on a $25,000 bond. The 62 year old was arrested Oct. 12 and released on bond that same day. A female Rust College student alleges he raped her. Holly Springs Police Chief William Hollowell tells us the incident is believe to have taken place in his office.
 
“I have information that other students are being asked to come forward to make allegations against him,” say Chief Hollowell.
 
So far no other students have come forward. However there have been other allegations against Dr. Oliver.
 
“I have knowledge of a previous accusation by a student from Memphis Tennessee when he was a band director at Northside High School. There was an article in the commercial appeal that alleged he sexually assaulted the student at the high school.”
 
Dr. Sylvester Oliver was a long time employee at the college was chairman of the Division of Humanities. Chief Hollowell tell us the he has been under investigation since the incident happened Sept 18.
