JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. -- The cost to keep the bad guys off your streets, $30-million.

That’s how much a new jail is going to coast Jackson County taxpayers.  Superviors agreed this week to borrow the money.  You’ll then pay it back over the next 20 years. Goldbert Group- Architects will design the facility.  Then construction crews will start building it next year.  They are expected to finish the job work in 2014.  The new jail will hold 700 to 800 beds.
