HATTIESBURG, Miss.-- Last weekend while the University of Southern Mississippi wasn't looking so good on the field, the scene in the stands wasn't much better.
According to reports quarterback Anthony Alford's mom was taken from the stands by police and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
A video of the incident that has surfaced shows what appears to be Lawanda Alford telling other fans who were being critical of her son's play to "Keep his name out your mouth!"
Other reports suggest this isn't the first time the elder Alford has been tossed from a game and this behavior dates back to her son's high school athletic days.
Anthony Alford left the game in the third quarter with an injury and Southern Mississippi went on to lose the game 59-24.
They are now winless on the season.
