Pickering spoke with us this morning. He sais he did not have any specific instances in mind this time around where it has happened.
"We did have it take place in previous elections," he said. "That's one reason we've gotten so involved. This not only puts at risk federal tax dollars, but plainly and simple, it's against the law."
Pickering was talking about anything from school buses to county vehicles to vehicles belonging to or paid for by federal agencies.
He had a stern warning for any officials or individuals who might be thinking about doing so today.
"If anyone witnesses the use of taxpayer vehicles being used to transport anyone to the polls, if they would contact the auditor's office-we've already issued a cease and desist for that practice. But, we will enforce that cease and desist throughout the election day today."
