BRANDON, Miss. -- Several kids were taken to the hospital this morning after a school bus accident in Brandon.
That bus was turning onto Highway 18 and Greenfield Road. And witness told police it did have a green light.
“There was a 2003 Chevy Tahoe. It was traveling northbound on Highway 18. According to witnesses, it ran the red light and collided with the school bus,” said Brandon Assistant Police
Chief Chris Butts. “There were a total of 12 students that had minor injuries. And they were take to local hospitals.”
The drivers of the school bus and the SUV were hurt and taken to the hospital too. Their injuries, also considered minor.
