Hazlehurst Man Gets 15 Years for Selling Pirated Media



HAZLEHURST, Miss. -- Pirating movies selling them to others will send a Hazlehurst man to prison for the next 15 years. Patrick Lashun King, 37, pled guilty to six counts of selling pirated media Thursday in Copiah County Circuit Court.
 
King was arrested in at his Hazlehurst business when he sold fire pirated movies and one CD to an undercover investigator from the Attorney General’s Intellectual Property Theft Task Force office. Over 10,500 pirated discs were seized and the computer equip used to make. Agents also confiscated several weapons including an assault rifle. King already had two prior felony convictions on his record, one for assaulting an officer, the other for CD piracy in 2003.
