FLOWOOD, Miss. -- Despite your criticism about the graphic images they are showing children, a group of anti-abortion protesters is back out at high schools in Mississippi today.
News Mississippi caught up with them in front of a high school in Flowood this morning. “We are saying to our children, ‘We are so sorry, that we have passed this monster to you that has devoured one third of your generation,’”said Operation Save America Assistant Director Rusty Thomas.
His group organized the protest and said they are also asking students not to make the same mistake of past generations. “We are fornicating and committing adultery. And how do we choose to solve this problem? By the slaying of our own children.”
It’s not by chance Operation Save America picked Mississippi for this protest. “There is an opportunity for Mississippi to make history,” explained Thomas.
With only one abortion clinic in the state, Thomas says Mississippi is one of the closest to becoming abortion free.
Protestors are on a five state tour and will be in Mississippi through Sunday. They are also protesting outside that abortion clinic.
