Arrests in Murdered Mom and Daughter Case

CARY, Miss.--The small community of Cary was horrified when three-year-old Janiah Carroll and her mother, 31-year-old Karitha were discovered stabbed to death in their home in 2009. Now with the arrest of three people in the case, authorities believe justice may be coming soon for the mom and daughter.

The arrests were announced Monday and the three were expected in court for an initial appearance Tuesday. Sharkey County Sheriff Lindsay Adams did not release details on who the men were.

Shortly after the murders, cops were looking for Memphis fugitive Robert Lee King, who fled after his girlfriend and her daughter were murdered back in 2005.

The MBI was assisting in the case. Jamiah was found with stab wounds and her throat cut. Her mom was found with stab wounds to the chest.
