Getaway Car From Shooting Located

RIDGELAND, Miss.--The vehicle Ridgeland cops believe was used as a getaway car in the Party City robbery last month has been found. You’ll remember the cold-blooded killing of manager Bobby Adams caught on surveillance video. Police told media they believe they are closing in, but are still looking for clues and tips.

The 68-year-old was shot three times as he tried to close the back door to the place after a robber tried to get in after hours. He managed to get the door closed, but fumbled with the lock. The gunman got in and shot Adams in the chest.

The video shows a black man with dreads shooting Adams, stepping over his body and taking $2,000 from the store. The video also shows part of the getaway car, which wound up being a white 2002 Chevy Trailblazer.

Cops are hoping you may know something about the killing. A total of $3,500 is being offered as a reward for information leading to the capture of the killer. Call Crimestoppers with tips.
