"About 10 o'clock, the Sheriff's Dept. received a call requesting an ambulance at the Shows residence," he said. March said it wasn't clear at first why there was an ambulance needed, but a dispatcher's alertness may be the reason the accused shooter is already in custody.
"During the course of the call, the dispatcher overheard a conversation that the lady was bleeding and had been shot. During that time, she also sent a deputy along with the ambulance.
Willie March discusses murder
March said Shows died from a shotgun wound. He didn't specify where she was hit.
"Danny Shows is 25 years old. It's her brother-in-law. He's the one we have in custody."
March said Shows is set for a court appearance to be formally charged Monday. He said the two were arguing about something, but the details didn't come out in the initial interview.
