HATTIESBURG, Miss.- According to a plethora of tweets and sources, Ellis Johnson has been relieved of his head coaching duties on the University of Southern Mississippi.
After an awful first year of an 0-12 record many people had speculated this could happen but not until around noon Tuesday did word come down of the firing.
The 0-12 record is the worst in the school's history, and surprising considering the 12-2 that Larry Fedora guiding the Golden Eagles to before his departure to the University of North Carolina for the 2012 season.
Reports on Johnson's buyout are saying it will be over $2 million over the next three years.
