GALLMAN, Miss.- Reports coming out just south of the capitol city say there has been one fatality in an early morning wreck involving two 18-wheelers on I-55.
The wreck happened near the Gallman exit according to MDOT and as of the time of this report had shutdown all three northbound lanes of I-55 and traffic was being diverted to Highway 51.
The Department of Environmental Quality is on the scene according to tweets we've seen but we don't know if there's any liquid substance on the roadway at this point.
**Update: Warren Strain from the Mississippi Department of Public Safety tells News Missisippi the DEQ is on the scene because one of the big-rigs that was involve in the wreck had "chicken parts" on-board. He says the company that owns the truck is already on seen assisting in the cleanup and MDOT hopes to have the roadways there back open by noon.
