Crash Kills 4-Year-Old Boy, Sends Family To Hospital

HURLEY, Miss. -- A fatal crash on US 614 took the life of a four-year-old boy and sent his Louisiana family to the hospital. It happened last night just before 10 in Hurley when two pickup trucks wrecked in a head on collision.

Mother, Jessica Gaspard was thrown from the bed of the trunk. The father, Darren Gaspard and his two sons an eight month old and the four-year-old Darren Gaspard Jr. rode in the cab.

The mother and father are at a Pascagoula hospital with serious injuries. The 8-month-old suffers from life-threatening injuries. And the 4-year-old died this morning from his injuries at a hospital in Mobil. The other driver has not been charged and the Mississippi Highway patrol leads in the investigation.
