JACKSON, Miss.-- Rain will continue to pop up around the state throughout the day and into the night for most areas.
Meteorologist Ed Agre said, "It kind of looks like scattered to numerous showers this morning will gradually intensify overnight."
Agree added they're not expecting any severe weather outbreaks from this front but locally rain could be heavy in some spots.
"We are thinking wide-spread one inch amounts will be likely by tomorrow morning, and some could be locally heavier with two inches before it tapers off Wednesday in the early hours."
With the rain moving out of the area by tomorrow some might think temperatures will drop back down into the normal range for early December be he said that's not the case.
Agre added, "This front should dissapate after it moves through and we'll probably see a return to southern winds which will keep mild air with us right hrought the weekened."
The southern winds means temperatures will back into the mid to upper-60's around the state by Wednesday and stay that way for the forseeable future.
