QUITMAN, Miss. – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a State Trooper on Highway 145. It happened Monday night around 8:30 in Clarke County.
 
Alex West with the Mississippi Highway Patrol tells us the victim was 52-year-old, hispanic male, Miebes Migel Arvizo of Vaiden Mississippi. He was attempting to cross the road when he was struck by the patrol car.  
 
West was unable to give us the identity of the trooper; however Meridian television station WTOK has identified him as Jamie Moore.
